In 2013, professional Canadian soccer player and Olympic medalist Karina LeBlanc received this life-changing perspective from her coach, John Herdman: “If you think your purpose on this earth is to kick a soccer ball for Canada, then I’ve failed you.”

This simple declaration led her to question her higher purpose and discover the positive impact that she could have on others. She was named a UNICEF Canada Ambassador and travelled globally, sharing her experience and energy with hundreds of kids across different countries. Then she began to wonder how she could give back to her own community, and the Karina LeBlanc Foundation was born.
